As part of our comprehensive ecological restoration program, we recognise the need to protect fauna and provide habitat for displaced fauna, particularly in expanding urban areas. Where the remaining forest does not provide sufficient hollows, we can undertake and assessment to determine requirements, construct and install the appropriate number and style of habitat boxes. Where there may be a problem with feral animals preying on native fauna or displacing them through competitive behaviour we can undertake and assessment and design and implement a pest animal control program.

Habitat Enhancement Program

• We will undertake an assessment to determine habitat replacement requirements and produce a report to guide the process and to present to Parks and Wildlife or Councils.
• We have developed several models of habitat boxes suitable for a range of wildlife known to inhabit your site. This has become an integral part of our holistic restoration program.
• Our skilled staff will install habitat boxes for you.
• In all cases, a minimum 12 month maintenance and monitoring program is carried out to record the presence of fauna and to ensure all boxes remain pest free.
• We also offer other ideas to complement and advance habitat creation for both arboreal and ground fauna.

Pest Animal Monitoring

• Our fully integrated pest management program will be undertaken in partnership with our sub consultants giving us the ability to detect pests, produce a comprehensive report and carry out pest control.
• We will utilise sand plot monitoring and interpretation to detect pest animal species and can also install cameras to capture images of pest animals if required. (include photo id possible)
• The program includes the production of a pest animal presence report for the client outlining the species detected during the study.
• Bushcare Services can also provide a pest animal management plan and pest eradication services.
