Recreational Tracks & Trails
Low impact tracks and trails are a great way for park visitors to experience natural environments while keeping their impact to a minimum. We construct tracks to conform with National Parks' standard codes to accommodate different user types and applications.
Typical construction in bushland areas will range from basic earth tracks to a decomposed granite surface for heavier pedestrian traffic. We are able to provide consultation and planning to help design and map a trail, including treads, light bridges, boardwalks and overcoming drainage issues.
Our track team are experienced with construction, and the use of natural materials. They can bring in prefabricated treads and toe stones to help retain and bench steeper areas. The team is familiar with working in remote locations and is sensitive to minimising impacts on vegetation.
We can also attend to the scheduled maintenance of walking tracks such as repairing drainage and reducing slip hazards.
Mahor projects include Tugun Conservation Area, Burleigh Ridge Environment Park and Buderim Forest Park.
